Shocking footage shows teens battling with machetes right outside a Starbucks on Kingsland High Street, Dalston. Police swooped and arrested two boys, aged 15 and 16.
Blade-Wielding Thugs Clash
One youth, dressed all in black, brandished two long blades in a dangerous brawl. Suddenly, another attacker ambushed him from behind, swinging a machete at the back of his head — but slipped and fell flat.
Amid screams from women and girls nearby, the injured youth quickly got back up and, with an accomplice, gave chase down Kingsland High Street.
Police Step In
The terrifying gang fight erupted on Wednesday evening, involving at least six people.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: “Police were called around 6pm on Wednesday to an altercation on Kingsland High Street in Dalston, Hackney. Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy suspected of affray and a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. Both remain in custody. Nobody was injured in the incident. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Eyewitness Reacts to Sword Drop
Bystanders gasped when one attacker dropped a samurai sword on the pavement close to Starbucks and nearby Popeyes and Wingstop restaurants.
One male witness said: “F*** me! He’s dropping his Sami (samurai sword).”
During the chaos, motorists and moped drivers honked horns before the rival gangs fled the scene.
