Rescue Operation after OAP drives off slip on Hayling Island
A rescue operation is taking place on Hayling Island to free a trapped pensioner after he became stuck in the mud this afternoon. Is understood that 78 year old pensioner drove off the slipway in his vehicle and attempted to self rescue and then became stuck in the mud. Emergency services are battling against the incoming tide to free the pensioner and the vehicle. Emergency crews are mobilised just after 4:30 PM on Friday afternoon to the scene. More to follow
