Man in Critical Condition Following Explosion at Burntwood Flats

A man has been left seriously injured following an explosion at a block of flats on Chase Road, Burntwood, Staffordshire. Emergency services, including five crews of firefighters and West Midlands Ambulance Service, were called to the scene around 9 p.m. on Monday after reports of an explosion.

The injured man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he remains in critical condition. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. As a precaution, five nearby flats were evacuated as fire crews worked to secure the area.
