Man Rescued From Mud By Coastguard And Fire Service In Lymington

Man rescued from Mud by Coastguard and Fire Service in uk/where/lymington/">Lymington

A man has been rescued from waist deep mud and a rising tide less than an hour ago in Lymington, hampshire/">Hampshire. The UK Coastguard were informed about the incident by the South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service at about 1.30pm today (Friday 25 November). Lymington and Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Teams, along with the RNLI Lymington Lifeboat were immediately sent to the location. The man was helped free by the lifeboat and taken to safety to receive medical attention. ‘Our advice is always the same if you become stuck in mud or quicksand “Stay calm, try to spread your weight as much as possible and avoid moving – and always call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.” Anybody trapped should also discourage other well-meaning members of the public from attempting to rescue them because without the proper equipment they could become stuck too.’
