Manhunt for Margate street robber
A bag containing purse, keys and medication was stolen during a reported robbery in Margate. The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking along Westbrook Avenue shortly after midnight on the morning of Monday 24 June 2019 when the incident took place. She described a white man of slim build, more than 5ft 5ins tall and wearing dark-coloured clothing walking behind her when she stopped to let him go past. It was at this point he is reported to have grabbed her and demanded money. The suspect then pulled the bag off her shoulder and ran away in the direction of Canterbury Road. The victim did not report any serious injuries. Enquiries remain ongoing, which will include the review of CCTV.
