In a display of extraordinary courage and selflessness, an off-duty officer from Lincolnshire Police has been nominated for the National Police Bravery Awards 2024 after his heroic attempt to save a nine-year-old girl who was tragically stabbed.
On the evening of July 28, 2022, the officer, who had been out socialising and was without his protective gear, found himself in Boston Town Centre.
