Officers Appeal For Witnesses After Sheep Chased And Injured By Dogs Near Spennithorne

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident where sheep were chased and injured by two dogs near Spennithorne, in the Leyburn area.

The incident occurred in a field adjacent to the traffic light controlled bridge on the A684 at approximately 11.00 GMT on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Two terrier type dogs were responsible for chasing and injuring a ram.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information regarding the two males who were seen leaving the scene on foot with the dogs to come forward. The police investigation would greatly benefit from any information that can assist in identifying those involved.
