Police Appeal for Witnesses After Serious Collision in Sevenoaks

 

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious road traffic collision in Riverhead, Sevenoaks, which left a man seriously injured.

The incident occurred shortly before 8.30pm on Saturday, April 19, on Westerham Road, near the junction with Larkfield Road, when a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a black Land Rover Defender.

Emergency services, including paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service, responded to the scene, and the male driver of the Ford Fiesta was transported to a London hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been disclosed.

It has been confirmed that the Ford Fiesta was involved in a police pursuit prior to the crash. As a result, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in line with standard procedure.

Public Appeal

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist their investigation.

They are particularly interested in:

  • Witnesses who saw the vehicles before or during the collision
  • Private CCTV from local residents
  • Dashcam footage from drivers in the area around the time of the crash
