Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Collision in Harwich

Officers from Essex Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision on Main Road, near the junction with King George’s Avenue, in Harwich. The incident, involving a silver Ford Transit Courier van and a pedestrian, occurred at approximately 7:40 am on Wednesday, 27 November.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was initially hospitalized following the collision but tragically passed away on Tuesday, 10 December. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant CCTV, dash cam, or other footage from the area at the time.
