Police Officers Provide First Aid to Man Attacked on His Way Home from Notting Hill Carnival

A man remains in critical condition after being assaulted on his way home from Notting Hill Carnival on Monday night. Police officers who were part of the event’s policing operation were first on the scene and administered first aid.

According to police, it is believed that the man had been in the area to attend the Carnival. An investigation is ongoing, with detectives from the Specialist Crime Command leading the inquiry. At this stage, no arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “This is an active investigation, and we are working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding the assault.”

Authorities are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident to come forward with any information. Witnesses are asked to contact the police by calling 101, messaging @MetCC on X (formerly Twitter), or reaching out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111, quoting reference 8020/26AUG.
