Probe launched after Newham stabbing

An investigation is underway following a stabbing in Newham. Police were called at approximately 07:40hrs on Friday, 12 July to reports of a stabbing in Barking Road, near the junction of Ordnance Road, E16. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man – believed aged in his 20s – suffering stab injuries. He has been taken to an east London hospital for treatment – condition awaits. A crime scene remains in place. No arrests; enquiries continue. Anyone with information is asked to contact officers from the North East Command Unit on 101 and quote CAD1694/12Jul; alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
