A wedding party in Wolverhampton was marred by a “totally reckless” act of gunfire, putting the lives of those present in grave danger, according to West Midlands Police. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but authorities stressed that the outcome was due to luck rather than deliberate safety measures.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 21.30 BST when an individual exited a vehicle outside the Gujarati Association on Mander Street in Merridale, Wolverhampton. The perpetrator proceeded to open fire, prompting shots to be fired in the direction of the wedding party in response.
