Teenager rushed to hospital after ‘acid attack’

An investigation has been launched after teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after “acid” was thrown at him in a fight in South Norwood. Emergency services were called to South Norwood High Street, at its junction with Portland Road, at 4.30pm today (Monday, October 7) to reports of a fight. The boy was found to have a “corrosive substance thrown at him”, the Met Police have revealed “He has (The boy) been rushed to A&E by the London Ambulance Service to a South London hospital for treatment,” a spokesman for the force aded. “His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.” A police cordon remains on the High Street, near to The Jolly Sailor pub.
