Natasha Johnston, a former Isle of Wight resident, has been identified as the victim of a dog attack in Surrey on January 12.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned until June 29, when Surrey Coroner Richard Travers will investigate the circumstances surrounding Ms Johnston’s death.
The 28-year-death old’s at Gravelly Hill in Caterham was described as a “tragic accident” by police.
The Croydon resident was bitten while out walking his dogs and was unable to be saved by paramedics who arrived on the scene.
Family and friends have paid tribute to the former Ryde High School student on social media.
No charges have been filed, and police have confirmed that none of the dogs are prohibited breeds.
On January 26, eight dogs remained in Surrey Police custody, including a Leonberger, two Dachshunds, a Cockapoo, and a Collie.
Detective Inspector Josephine Horner, Senior Investigating Officer, said: “The dogs are still being cared for at private kennels to ensure their welfare, and their owners are being kept informed.”
