Three men have been arrested in connection with a shocking arson attack on a mosque in Peacehaven earlier this month.

Molotov-Style Attack Could Have Killed

Emergency services rushed to a mosque on Phyllis Avenue at around 9.50pm on Saturday, October 4, after reports two suspects sprayed an accelerant on the front door and set it ablaze while worshippers were inside.

Miraculously, no one was hurt. But police warned the attack could have had “devastating consequences”.

Suspects in Custody as Probe Continues

The Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team arrested three men aged 34 and 42 from Peacehaven, and 38 from nearby Seaford. All face suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. They remain in custody for questioning.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or video footage to come forward. Call Sussex Police on 101, quoting Operation Lariat, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
