Heartbreaking Discovery in Barming Woods: Jamin Longhurst Found Deceased

The body of Jamin  Longhurst, who went missing on Sunday, October 20, was discovered in Barming Woods on Monday afternoon. The tragic news has left his family and the local community devastated. Jamin a beloved husband and father of two young boys, set out for his regular run at around 10:20 a.m. but did not return home, prompting an urgent search operation.

Jamin’s wife initially posted a desperate appeal for help, explaining that he usually took a familiar route through Barming Woods, looping past King’s Hill, Cannon Lane, and the river in Wateringbury before returning to South Street. The Kent Police, alongside search and rescue teams and volunteers from the community, tirelessly combed the area overnight. Despite their efforts, the search ended in heartbreak when Jamin body was located in the woods.
In the face of this profound loss, the community has come together to honour Jamin’s  memory. His legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. Jamin’s wife and children will forever cherish the time they had with him, remembering his warmth and the light he brought into their lives.
