A significant operation has been initiated following reports of a high-risk missing person in Maidstone. Kent Police, in collaboration with search and rescue volunteers from KENTSAR (Kent Search and Rescue), have mobilized a comprehensive search effort in Mote Park, a prominent 440-acre public park in the town, historically known as a country estate.
The search operation commenced shortly after 5:30 PM, immediately after the report of the missing person was received. A substantial presence of officers has been noted in the park, indicating the seriousness of the situation.
In an effort to intensify the search, assistance has been sought from the NPAS (National Police Air Service) based at Redhill. They are expected to deploy a thermal imaging camera, a critical tool in such operations, which could greatly aid in locating the missing individual amidst the vast expanse of Mote Park.
Around 30 volunteers from KENTSAR, a charitable organization specializing in search and rescue operations, have joined the search. These volunteers, working in groups of four, have begun a meticulous search of the park’s extensive area.
