The Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt for Clifford Taylor, 44, who absconded from a detention centre in Stanmore earlier this morning. Taylor, who has a history of offending, including sexual assault, was last seen at 7:50 AM on January 22.
Taylor was detained under a hospital order in November 2024, and police are urging the public not to approach him if seen.

Taylor is known to have links to Ilford, and officers are focusing their search in this area. A police spokesperson said:
