Police launch Probe after Human remains Found on Isle of Wight Beach

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police have confirmed that they have launched a probe after piece of human skull have been found on the Duver Beach in St Helen’s. Officers where called on Sunday afternoon after the find by an resident who was out walking and made the grim discovery Officers were called to the beach on Sunday after the remains were found washed up on the shore. A Hampshire police spokesman today said it was not known how long the remains had been on the beach. The age, sex and identity of the deceased are also unknown. The families of people missing from the Hampshire area have been contacted. The police spokesman today said a further search of the beach area would be carried out. “We have recovered part of the body and we are waiting for low tide to see if we can recover the rest,” he said.
