Police release CCTV following an aggravated burglary at the Golden Touch Amusements in Southampton

Following an aggravated burglary at the Golden Touch Amusements. Police are still looking for the man in the CCTV image but now we are asking for your help to trace the driver of a car that was in the area.

At around 6.50am on June 18, the arcade, which is located on Above Bar Street, was entered by a man who approached a lone member of staff. The staff member was tied up before the offender stole £11,000 from the safe. They were not injured during the incident. Officers are now looking to trace the driver of a dark blue Honda Integra which was seen close to the scene at the time of the incident. DC Christopher Barrow said: “We’ve issued this image of the car as we believe the driver may have vital information which may help our ongoing investigation. “The vehicle has a number distinguishing features including a rear spoiler, blacked out rear windows and an off-set front number plate. “So please look at the image carefully. Is this your vehicle? Do you know whose vehicle this is? Have you seen this vehicle parked up in your neighbourhood? If so, we would really like to speak to you.” We are also still looking to trace a man captured on CCTV in the area. We issued the image of the man two weeks ago and we are still keen to speak to anyone who thinks they might know who he is. He was wearing a camo pattern coat with a hood and sunglasses. He was seen in the area at the time of the burglary. We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise this man or remembers seeing someone of this description in the area around this time. If you have any information relating to the vehicle, or sighting of the man is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44190209006, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
