Irish authorities have issued a renewed appeal for information on the 1995 disappearance and suspected murder of 21-year-old Josephine “Jo Jo” Dullard, who vanished while hitchhiking home from Dublin 29 years ago.
Jo Jo’s case was formally upgraded to a murder investigation in 2020. Gardaí continue to search for information and have requested that anyone who was at Bruxelles Bar in Dublin with Jo Jo, who saw her on the evening of November 9, or who may have information about a Sanyo Stereo cassette player (model MGP21) she was carrying, come forward. Authorities are also keen to speak with anyone who may have picked up or encountered hitchhikers in the Moone area around the end of October or early November 1995.
A Garda spokesperson emphasized their commitment to finding answers for Jo Jo’s family, saying, “An Garda Síochána is resolute in our determination to provide answers for Jo Jo’s family and bring her murderer to justice.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Naas Garda Station at 045 884 300, the Garda confidential line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station. Jo Jo’s family hopes that someone will come forward to help them “complete her journey home.”
