A man has been locked up after being caught dealing Class A and B drugs on the streets of Brighton.

Police Spot Suspicious Exchange

On February 22, officers on patrol in Sillwood Street noticed a passerby flag down a man. The pair slipped into a nearby property for just seconds. When the man re-emerged, police suspected a drug deal had gone down.

Officers swooped in and stopped 26-year-old Hamza Adanir, from The Green, Ealing. A search uncovered ketamine, cocaine, cannabis, and cash.

Swift Justice at Lewes Crown Court

Adanir was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply one Class A drug and two Class B drugs. He pleaded guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on February 24 and was held on remand.

On March 24, he was sentenced to 18 months behind bars at Lewes Crown Court.

Brighton’s streets are a little safer with this dealer off them.
