Firefighters raced to a car fire in Crawley on Sunday evening, bringing a vehicle blaze under control in a residential area.

Swift Response in Alisa Close

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service received the alert at 7:56pm after reports of a small vehicle fire on Alisa Close. A single fire engine was quickly dispatched to the scene.

Blaze Brought Under Control by 9pm

  • Crews arrived to find the car fully alight.
  • Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attacked the flames with high-pressure hose reels.
  • The fire was extinguished by 9pm, with no injuries reported.

A spokesperson confirmed the quick, efficient response kept the situation under control, and no one was hurt in the incident.
