A wave of vandalism swept through Larkfield last night as multiple vehicles and properties, including floodlights at Larkfield & New Hythe Football Club, were targeted by unknown perpetrators. Several cars were reportedly damaged by objects believed to have been launched from a catapult, while a car on the M20 sustained severe roof damage after a rock was dropped from the Lunsford Lane bridge.

The incidents included the shattering of floodlights at the football club, leaving the community facility in need of repairs. Local residents expressed concerns over the escalation in attacks, which follows similar reports of vehicle damage in the area in recent weeks.

Kent Police have been notified of the incidents and are urging anyone with information, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in any dashcam or CCTV footage from the Lunsford Lane bridge area, where the rock-throwing incident occurred on the M20.

These recent acts of vandalism have raised concerns among local residents about safety on Larkfield roads and highways. Authorities are actively investigating and have increased patrols in the area to deter further incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 101.
