A medical emergency has forced the closure of the M2 coastbound between Junction 5 (Sittingbourne) and Junction 6 (Faversham), causing major delays for motorists.
Emergency services, including Kent Police, paramedics, and National Highways traffic officers, responded to the incident, which occurred midway along the carriageway near Lynsted.
An air ambulance was deployed and landed at the scene shortly before 6 PM, while multiple ambulances and fire crews were also dispatched.
