Manhunt Launched After Young Girl ‘Punched and Racially Abused’ at Gipsy Hill Station

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to following a distressing incident where a young girl was racially abused and assaulted at Gipsy Hill railway station in South London.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers responded to reports of an altercation shortly before 7.45pm on Thursday, February 6. It was reported that a man had aggressively barged into a group of young girls and made racist remarks. When one girl confronted him, she was punched three times in the face. Other members of the group were also assaulted when they attempted to intervene.
Anyone recognising the man or possessing any information regarding the incident should contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 726 of 06/02/2025. Anonymous information can be provided to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
