Detectives in Coatbridge are appealing for information following the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl on Friday evening. The incident occurred in a wooded area behind Miller Street at approximately 8pm on September 20, 2024.
According to police reports, the victim was attacked by an unknown male suspect in a secluded area near a relatively busy part of town. The perpetrator is described as being approximately 6 feet tall and was notably wearing red Adidas Gazelle trainers at the time of the assault.
DS Gardner added, “This happened close to a relatively busy area, and we are asking anyone who saw a man matching this description, or anything that seemed suspicious, to please get in touch.
The police are urging the public to come forward with any information, no matter how small it may seem. Individuals can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4299 of 20 September 2024.
