Flying Scotsman Roars Back to Bluebell Railway for Extended 2023 Visit
The legendary Flying Scotsman is set to make a spectacular return to the Bluebell Railway this year—bigger and better than ever! Originally slated for August 2022, the iconic steam engine’s visit has been pushed back and expanded thanks to the National Railway Museum, which maintains the locomotive.
Non-Stop Runs and Up-Close Displays
From August 23rd to 29th, the Flying Scotsman will thunder between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead on nonstop return trips for a full week. Then, from August 30th to September 3rd, the mighty engine will be on static display at Sheffield Park. Visitors will have the rare chance to not only see the locomotive in all its glory but also step onto the footplate for that authentic railfan experience.
