The man, who is in his 20s, from Hertfordshire, was arrested on New Years Eve and taken to Gablecross police station in Swindon for questioning.
He was released this morning pending further enquiries.
The 14-year-old girl disappeared on December 29 and was found on December 31 safe and well.
