A Suspect Has Been Charged With A Firearms Offence Following An Incident In Herne Bay

 

 

 

 

Kent Police was called to Mortimer Street at 5.50pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022 following a report that a man had been seen with a weapon. Officers attended and a man was arrested.

 

Luke Burch, of Mortimer Street, Herne Bay, has since been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

 

The 34-year-old is also charged with criminal damage in relation to damage caused to a cell at Margate Police Station.

 

Mr Burch appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28 April and was bailed to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 30 May.
