A12 closed after serious road traffic collision near Colchester
The A12 is currently closed in both directions from its junctions of the J26 (Eight Ash Green) to the J28 (Colchester United Football Stadium) with delays of at least 15 minutes covering several miles of the road. This closure is due to a road traffic collision and Highways England has resources deployed working hard to restore normal conditions as soon as possible. Eastbound traffic exit at J26 and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A1124 eastbound towards Colchester. Bear left onto the A133 to Colchester and continue through Colchester to A1232. Take the 1st exit and travel north on the A1232 to re-join the A12 at J29 Crown Interchange. Westbound diversion is the same route in reverse.
