A12 closed in Essex after a person is hit by a Vehicle

The A12 in Essex is closed in both directions between the A130 and the A414 (near Chelmsford) After a pedestrian hs been struck by a vehicle. Essex Police are leading on the investigation and Collision investigation work will have to take place. This is likely to take some time to complete. Road users travelling southbound are advised to exit the A12 at J19 (Boreham) and follow the A130 through Chelmsford to the A130/A1016 roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit and follow the A1016 to the A1016/A414 roundabout. Take the second exit and continue on the A414 to re-join the A12 at J15 (Webbs Farm Interchange). Road users travelling northbound are advised to travel reverse of the above. Road users are also advised to allow extra time for their journey
