Appeal for Witnesses: Fatal Collision on the M26

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a tragic fatal collision on the M26 near Dunton Green.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:07 am on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, involving two vehicles—a white Iveco curtain-sided van and a white Scania lorry with an orange-colored trailer—near junction 5.

Emergency services, including Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, responded to the scene. Regrettably, despite their efforts, a man was pronounced deceased at the site of the collision.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit of Kent Police has launched an investigation into the incident. As part of their inquiries, they are seeking witnesses who may have seen the collision or have any relevant information about the circumstances leading up to it.

In particular, authorities are urging anyone who may have dashcam footage capturing either the van or the lorry prior to the collision to come forward. This footage could provide crucial details to aid in the investigation.
