Appeal Launched Following Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Brenzett

 

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV on the A259 at Brenzett, near Romney Marsh.

The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Saturday 12 April, close to Tickners Lane, when a blue Toyota C-HR travelling towards Lydd collided with a Honda motorcycle heading in the same direction.

The motorcyclist, a 37-year-old man, tragically died at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders.

Police Appeal

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage of the moments leading up to the crash to get in touch as they continue their enquiries.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

“We are working to establish the full circumstances that led to this tragic collision and would be grateful to hear from anyone who was travelling on the A259 near Tickners Lane between 3.30pm and 4pm on Saturday.”

The road was closed for several hours on Saturday while emergency services attended the scene and investigators carried out collision analysis.

Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased, but his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
