Arrest Made Following Stolen Car Chase Through Shooters Hill

A 30-year-old man has been arrested following a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Shooters Hill, which caused significant disruption on Sunday, December 29.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“On Sunday, 29 December at 11:15hrs police were made aware that a car had been stolen. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop the car near Shooters Hill Road, SE18.

“A 30-year-old man was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and for traffic offences. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”

The road has since been reopened, and normal traffic flow has resumed.

Ongoing Investigation

Police have confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the theft and the pursuit are ongoing. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
