A baby has been hospitalised after an unmarked police car collided with another vehicle at a junction in Catford this morning.

Police were called to the scene at the junction between Brownhill Road on the South Circular A205 and Torridon Road around 9:30am on Friday, January 24, 2025. The crash involved an unmarked police car and another vehicle, with the baby being transported to the hospital. Fortunately, the infant did not suffer any life-changing injuries.

The road was closed for approximately an hour as emergency services responded to the incident. Transport for London reported that police officers were present, directing traffic while the scene was cleared.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the details of the crash, stating, “Around 9.30am on Friday, 24 January, officers were called to the junction between Brownhill Road and Torridon Road, SE6, after an unmarked police car collided with another car. A baby was hospitalised, though they did not suffer any life-changing injuries.”

The London Ambulance Service was contacted for further comment but stated it could not locate the incident in its logs at this time.
