Bank holiday assault leads to man’s arrest

A bank holiday assault in Sittingbourne has led to the arrest of a man. Kent Police" id="81643">Kent Police was called to a report that a man had been assaulted in Hythe Road, Sittingbourne, at 4.28pm on Monday 7 May 2018. Officers attended and later arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of assault. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for an arm injury where he currently remains. Daniel Thomas, of Hythe Road, has since been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and grievous harm with intent. He has been bailed to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 6 June 2018.
