Train services between Dover Priory and Folkestone Central have been suspended this morning following the discovery of a body on the railway tracks near Dover. In a statement, Network Rail Kent & Sussex apologized for the inconvenience, saying, “We’re sorry to any Southeastern passengers disrupted this morning due to a police incident.” They added that buses are currently replacing train services between Dover Priory and Folkestone Central while the investigation is underway.
Southeastern also issued an update on social media, stating that no trains would run between the two stations while police conduct their inquiries. “Enquiries to establish what happened are ongoing,” the railway operator said.
