A collision involving two cars and a lorry has caused significant delays on the A2 coast-bound near the Dartford Crossing this morning (September 13). The incident occurred between the junctions for the M25 and Bean at around 7:10am.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene, and road closures were implemented while the situation was dealt with. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and the road was cleared by 8:30am.
Despite the swift response, there are still ongoing delays of approximately 60 minutes, with four miles of congestion building up in the area.
A spokesperson for Kent Police confirmed: “Kent Police was called at around 7:10am on Friday, September 13, 2024, following a collision involving two cars and a lorry on the A2 coast-bound between the junctions for the M25 and Bean. Officers attended. No serious injuries were reported and the road was clear by around 8:30am.”
Drivers are advised to plan for delays and consider alternative routes as the congestion eases.
