Detectives Are Appealing For Witnesses And Information Following A Fatal Collision In Brixton
 

The incident occurred on Acre Lane, SW2 at 3.46pm on Sunday, 24 April, involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian.

Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended.

The 87-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital by LAS where, he later died.

The rider of the motorcycle was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He was taken to a south London police station and was subsequently released under investigation.

The pedestrian’s next of kin were notified and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. They are particularly keen to hear from any witnesses who saw the collision, or captured it on dash cam.
