Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Islington

Police were called at around 2.40pm on Monday, 11 November to reports of males fighting in the Finsbury Park, N4 area with reports of a male stabbed.

Officers attended the scene close to Finsbury Park Station and found a male with stab wounds.

He was treated by the London Ambulance Service and has been taken to hospital where his condition is being treated as potentially life-changing.

Police have put a cordon in place and are appealing for witnesses.


A male has been arrested following the incident and has been taken to a north London police station where he remains in custody.

As a result of the incident, increased stop and search powers under Section 60 Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994 have been put in place to cover the local area, including both the Finsbury Park and Tollington wards until 03:00hrs on Tuesday, 12 November.
