The closures, affecting the stretch between Junction 5 (Stockbury, Sheppey, and Sittingbourne) and Junction 6 (near Faversham), began on Monday, January 20, and will continue through Friday, January 24. Work is scheduled between 8 pm and 6 am each night, with both directions impacted on different days.

- Tuesday: Eastbound closure between Junction 5 and Junction 6 (8 pm–6 am).
- Wednesday–Friday: Westbound closures from Junction 6 to Junction 5 (8 pm–6 am).
- Thursday–Friday: Eastbound Junction 4 exit slip closed for structural works; Junction 5 entry slip closed for inspections.
