Fire crews from Cosham and Southsea called to collision in Portsmouth

Fire fighters from two stations are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on Eastern Road in Portsmouth. One fire crew from Southsea and a second from Cosham have been called to the incident just after 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon along with Police and Paramedics. The collision involves a number of vehicles on the busy main road. The road is currently blocked between Burfield Road and Airport Service Road. Fire crews have carried out scene safety. First reports are that no one has been or is trapped. Paramedics are helping to divert traffic away from the scene. The injuries of those involved are not thought the be serious one person has been taken to hosptial. Recovery specialist have been called to the scene to start the recovery and clear up operation of four vehicle. Two of the vehicle have left the road and have ended up hedge rows.
