Firefighters tackle late-night blaze in Crawley

Emergency services were called to a property fire on Radford Road, Crawley shortly after 11pm on Friday night.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (WSFRS) confirmed that five fire engines were sent to the scene to tackle the blaze.

A road closure has been put in place around Radford Road while crews deal with the incident, and the public are advised to avoid the area.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and there are no details yet on any injuries.

A WSFRS spokesperson said: “Five fire engines are currently at the scene. We are asking people to keep clear while crews work.”
