Four suspects have been apprehended shortly after a Land Rover was stolen while its owner was paying for fuel at a service station in Edenbridge. The vehicle was reported stolen at approximately 11:30 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from a garage forecourt located in Station Road.
Rapid response by law enforcement officers led to the recovery of the stolen Land Rover just six miles away in Brasted. In addition, a Ford Kuga, believed to be connected to the suspects, was traced to the Orpington area. At 3:25 pm on the same day, four individuals were arrested and taken into custody as part of an investigation conducted by the West Kent Victim-Based Crime Team.
Two of the suspects, Harry Cloke, aged 18, of Bridge Road, Erith, and Edward Graversen, aged 19, of Lower Park Road, Belvedere, have been charged with two counts of theft and with being equipped to steal a motor vehicle. They were remanded to Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 27. Subsequently, both individuals were granted bail and are scheduled to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on January 2, 2024.
Jason Cloke, aged 41, of Bridge Road, Erith, and a 17-year-old boy from London, have also been charged with the same offences. Mr Cloke is on bail and is expected to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on January 2, 2024, while the teenager has been granted bail and is set to attend Medway Youth Court on December 17.
