The man was found unconscious and not breathing when firefighters reached him. Crews immediately began performing CPR on the scene and continued life-saving efforts tirelessly until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS).

Thanks to their efforts, the man was stabilised at the scene before being taken to hospital. His current condition has not yet been confirmed.

A witness praised the first responders, saying:

“The crews were incredible — they didn’t stop until they got him breathing again. It was a race against time, and they gave everything.”

Fire investigators remain at the scene to determine the cause of the blaze, which was quickly brought under control. No other injuries have been reported.

The London Fire Brigade has not yet released a formal statement but is expected to provide further updates as enquiries continue
