The operation took place at a residential property on Belmont Road just after 4:20 AM, when specialist door-entry teams used a “red key” – a battering ram – to force entry. Officers quickly secured the premises while TSG units blocked off the road to assist with the operation.
Witnesses reported seeing a man, clad in a hoodie, being led out of the property in handcuffs and placed into a police van. A vehicle and the property were both searched, with officers seizing a number of items.
The nature of the seized items and the specific focus of the operation have not yet been disclosed. The scene remained active for several hours as officers continued their investigation.
The Metropolitan Police have been approached for an official statement regarding the raid, the nature of the arrest, and whether further details will be released to the public.

Residents of Belmont Road, a typically quiet residential area, described the incident as shocking. “We woke up to the sound of the door being smashed in and saw a heavy police presence. It’s very unusual for something like this to happen around here,” said one local.
Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
