A highrise flat fire in Brighton on New Year’s Eve has resulted in the evacuation of the Holiday Inn and nearby guest accommodations. Five fire engines responded to the blaze, which is believed to have started in a bathroom. Additionally, a man experiencing a mental health breakdown required police intervention during this incident.

At around 9 pm on New Year’s Eve, authorities received reports of a fire in a highrise flat located on Kings Road in Brighton. The fire was reported to have originated on the 16th floor of the building, creating a challenging firefighting situation due to the height of the structure.
