Following a serious collision near Laddingford, investigators are seeking information. On Saturday 14 January 2023, between 6.15 and 6.25 a.m., a grey Renault Kangoo van travelling down Claygate Road collided with a woman walking two dogs. The woman was treated at the scene for her injuries before being taken to a London hospital, where she is still in a serious but stable condition. The driver, a man in his 30s from Staplehurst, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and later released on bail to return to the police station on April 3. Officers are investigating the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed it or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
