Kent Police Has Confirmed Two Men Have Been Treated For Injuries Following The Crash That It Said Involved A Van And A Lorry

The M20 is closed eastbound between J1 (M25) and J2 (Wrotham) due to a serious collision. The westbound carriageway has also been blocked between J2 and J1 due to the attendance of an air ambulance at the scene.

Kent Police currently lead the response to a serious collision which took place at approximately 1.47pm between a van and an HGV All emergency services including an air ambulance are in attendance. The road has been closed to allow them to work safely at scene. National Highways have resources in attendance to assist with traffic management and are currently focusing on closing the road and keeping traffic held on the westbound carriageway. Once the air ambulance departs from the scene, westbound traffic will be released. Traffic stationary within the eastbound closure are advised to remain in their vehicles and await further instruction from police or traffic officers. There is currently no estimates as to when the road will reopen. Road users are advised to use the M26 to divert around this incident. Please expect long delays on the M25 approaching J3/M20 J1.

At around 1.45pm on Friday 11 November, Kent Police was called to a collision involving a van and a lorry on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 1 and 2. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where two men have been treated for injuries and are being taken to hospital for further medical attention. Both carriageways are currently closed while emergency services deal with the incident. The London-bound carriageway will be reopened once the air ambulance has departed.
